Holistic Dr. Annie Fairbanks, 39, husband Jason Fairbanks, 39 and their 3-year-old daughter and 9-month-old son died in a shooting Friday afternoon, the Scottsdale Police Department released Saturday morning.
Sgt. Ben Hoster, Scottsdale Police Department spokesman, claims within hours of the shooting that Jason Fairbanks must have killed his wife, 2 children (including their baby) and turned the gun on himself. We have folks who knew the family writing us who state they doubt this claim that was made so quickly. We don’t personally know enough to say at this time.
We at HNN (who have been reporting on these deaths or two and a half years which you can read about here in full timeline numbered and with photos ) find this hard to make a call of murder suicide in a matter of HOURS, and have to question Ben Hoster doing so in well under 24 hours.
Officers responded to the shooting Friday afternoon in the area of 103rd Place and Sutton Drive, according to Scottsdale police said. The intersection is near Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Thunderbird Road.
When Jason Fairbanks did not show up to work, his coworker went to the home and discovered the bodies, Hoster added.
Hoster said the couple was experiencing financial struggles. (Most Americans are). The two owned a Scottsdale business, Macrotherapy, specializing in physical therapy for aging and those with injuries.
According to an event page, Annie Fairbanks was a Master CHEK Practitioner and a doctor of holistic nutrition.
